Basically if you have that deactivated steam can't find your friends during a game.
Also, it might not work if the friend doesn't have the game started already, so be sure to do that before the invitation.
Thanks for the tip, unfortunately it didn't work. I de-activated the overlay, clicked "ok", then activated it again. Maybe I did something wrong though?
I tried to enable the steam overlay, but in steam options that box is grayed out, and in Armello itself I see no option to do this anywhere.
Like player1 creates private room and invites friends, player2 closes the game and clicks in the "play now" button.
