Most people can't even play with people on their own kind of device some way or other since the update 2 months ago ...

You might have read that in this forum. You know, when people complained the game is kinda dead? So I wouldn't hold my breath for crossplay and I don't think any of the players have a solution.

(For a CHANCE at the devs reading this, maybe try the bug forum?)

Perhaps detail the issue for others to try and help. Certainly try the bug forum if something needs to be sent to the devs.

Just please do so without the random insults you have posted in other threads as that encourages people to not help you.

It's not true though. While you can't INVITE between switch and pc, the crossplay certainly still works. You just have to queue up at the same time until you get in a lobby together. It helps to be in the same region. I have literally been playing with a friend who is on switch for months.

I'm glad to know that there's a work-around to play with friends, though that sounds tedious. I do not play with people on different platforms, so the information I gave was from the devs and not personal experience; considering that they said multiplayer functionality would be non-functioning for some time, I would not have assumed you could throw something at a wall until it sticks. If the OP wants to try that, they certainly can

Hi KrisbladeXXIII!

You should be able to play multiplayer with Steam and Switch now. The Switch update is live, with Private Multiplayer restored, so we've enabled Crossplay between Switch and Steam again.
