"Cry us a river" achievement

I'm so silly, I thought to unlock this achievement you were meant to attack three heroes/creatures and kill them in battle in just one turn - which would be hard enough. It took me ages to surround myself with three heroes/creatures that I could potentially all attack in one turn WITHOUT DYING.

But no... the three of them also need to have just one health point each, so you can just kill them without battling them. How likely is this to ever happen??

I even tried to weaken them with spells and trickery cards, but the chances of leaving all three creatures with just one health point and not killing them completely are close to impossible!

It's such a shame, it is the only achievement I haven't unlocked and I can't see how it could even remotely be possible to do so.

Yeah, Its very rare that you find yourself in that position but it will happen eventually, guards count as well as far as im aware, for the longest time I thought it was just heroes and spent probably 15-20 hours trying to get the perfect setup of heroes around me with 1 health but when I realised other creatures on the board could be used it came pretty quickly.

As much as cards which can weaken heroes are important movement cards should be held as well, teleport and haste for example....4 moves instead of 3 and a free jaunt across the board are priceless. If youre the prestige leader also worth looking out for the kings decree which replaces perils with 1 health guards as that can be used. Likewise spawn 3 banes as a decree as its possible to get silly amount of banes on the board which will help if you can weaken them.

Leemur Neeson I found much harder as I did it against AI.

Leemur Neeson I think I must have done "accidentally" when I first started the game, because it was already unlocked when I started focusing on achievements.

I mean another good strat is OBVIOUSLY do it against AI, dump rot items onto the AI or start them with rot so their health ticks away and pick low health opponents. Theres a guide for it on here and it says most of the above because its just good common sense.

With a friend it would be easy but then again just doing yourself out of the satisfaction of earning it. good luck (luck being the most important part).

I remember getting the achievement, before the pandemic started, on the Switch version of the game. It was the second hardest achievement for me to get (first one was Lemur Neeson). IIRC, I pumped up Wits and made sure to draw cards that removed health points, then I made it after a few attempts. Not sure if it was easier than I thought or if the RNG Wyld smiled at me that night, but it's definitely doable.

I want to unblock the achievement in a legitimate way on Steam too, but I want to take everyone to level 10 first. Maybe I'll get lucky and get it during normal gameplay, considering I've done just that for the Lemur Neeson achievement XD

Well I think my mistake was trying to do it in a multiplayer game. I started a single player game against 3 AIs and managed to unlock the achievement.

I don't think I would've been able to do it against 3 other actual people!
