Any plans for Mod Support/Steam Workshop?
Adding mod support or a Steam Workshop would really help prolong the lifetime of the game and draw some old and new players to the game.

Things I'm thinking would be possible through modding:
- Adding new House Rules for the Custom Game mode.
- Adding new cards, heroes, amulets and rings. You'll have the option to re-use old assets to speed up the process or make your own, it doesn't have to be perfect.
- Making changes to existing cards, heroes, amulets and rings.
- Adding new quests and random encounters (random encounters in particular are very lacking in the base game).
- Making changes to the playing field, perhaps making new generation presets for use in the Custom Game mode.
- Making an entirely new playing field that's maybe smaller or larger or has a different shape.
- Better AI decision-making. Or giving the AI stronger stats to make up for their bad decision-making.
- New skins and cosmetic changes for the current cards, heroes, amulets and rings
- Other various quality of life and cosmetic changes and additions.

Using mods would obviously be restricted to private matches in which all present players have the mods installed.

One big problem I can foresee is that the AI won't know how to use things they don't recognise properly. A solution would be to just not use AI in these matches or prevent the AI from getting these things, thus encouraging that you only use game changing mods in matches where there are only human players. Or the modders could be able to teach the AI how to use them perhaps?

This game is done, and no longer in active development by the creators. So, there's a very slim chance for that to happen.

That's a shame. It really would help extend the game's lifetime, increase its replayability and help keep the community alive. And as can be seen in artwork done by members of the community, there are plenty of great ideas floating around just waiting to be made into something real. There's even some artwork done for new cards people thought up, and it fits right in with Armello's art style (minus the cards being animated).

I agree. There's much still to be done--starting by addressing the multitude of bugs that still populate Armello.

Indeed. Fixing the bugs would be a good start. I just hope they don't stop there! :steamhappy:
