Is it possible to rejoin the game after getting disconnected?
I tabbed out of the game I was playing with friends to change the song playing on a youtube playlist. Tried to tab back into the game and the game screen went transparent and there was nothing I could do to bring it back, so my only choice was to force close the game. Disappointed to find out that no invites from my friends would let me reconnect to the game after playing for 30 minutes and I was doing fairly well, it was kindof a huge downer, even for my friends. Is there any known way to reconect to the game I was just playing, or is this something that would need to be added by devs?

We'd like to do a reconnection feature but it's a huge task that I just don't think we can prioritise right now. We never say never but it's just a big ol' feature.

Maybe one day... Maybe one day...

That's kind of a bummer, but its reassuring to be responded to about this. Sounds like something the team is aware of and has thought about appropriately. I have some understanding of how the multiplayer is hosted by each player, so I get why it'd be hard to add in. Thanks for the solid reply, I'll be looking forward to it someday maybe!

I kinda feel this could be a big priority. It's mostly a Multiplayer game (By mostly, I mean entirely) and it requires often a bit over an hour to play. So many opportunities for connections / other problems to happen. It's a huge turn off playing a game with a friend, an suddenly one of the two losing connection for a second and becoming unable to join back :(

In my case, it had nothing to do with the connection in the first place, I simply switched windows and couldn't switch back to the game because it went fully transparent. Switching windows midgame is something I do very often, as I'm new and so are my friends who picked it up with me, we often take the full turn timer thinking over our next moves, so I honestly get bored sometimes waiting for my next turn, or i want to change the music I'm listening to ect.

Just one little thing, if disconnecting kills your character and then reconnecting would kill it again as you take over the AI, wouldn't that happening like totally screw up your chances of actually succeeding?

Most likely, but I at least like to finish the games I play, especially if the disconnect happened late in a game that takes a long time to finish, to at least get the rewards to your account for participation. Exp, commendations, ect.

I also think that this should be a major priority given the nature of the game, the length of each game, and the fact that rewards are only recieved after completion. I love this game, but it will often freeze/crash and my whole hour becomes a waste. Just now, my internet lagged out after an hour in a game, and the previous game before that had frozen. So I have spent multiple hours playing Armello tonight with no chance at lunar die, no coin flips, no achievement progress (50 wins) and no rank progress. The crashing wouldn't be so bad if I could reconnect, but as it stands... it's making an otherwise wonderful game feel like a waste of time.

Totally agree. I'm lucky to have a stable system and internet, but my friend doesn't, and it's always a bummer when we are playing togheter and she ends up dropping out due to internet failing for a quick minute.

Often leads to a whole hour wasted, and no desire to play Armello for a week.

Didn't realize there was no reconnect feature til today - it could at least do us the courtesy of giving a single star. Considering the game was down to the last turn. One of only a handful of complaints I have about the game, but a major one, given the length of games.

Please read this.

I'd say that you're luckier than most of us, who've played the game when it's still peer to peer. We're on a silver age of Armello, where NMAs are a lot less frequent than it was. Changing the game to server based makes it possible for the game to have reconnect. It'll take some time, surely, but it won't take as much as a certain company that makes that spaceship game ;)
