Did you go back and forth to the cards to read the flavour text to see if any of the named characters are in the novel? I did and I'm happy to confirm that Crag Greymane is Fang's and Thane's ancestor. Also, Mathis was sent off to see the Wardress of Warrens at the end of the novel. Elyssia has that title, so it could mean it was either her or a predecessor who tended to the matter.
As a guy who plays Thane a lot, I am eagerly looking forward to Thane's story . He should have quite a tale to tell, what with his father having quite a low view of him, his brother being sent off into exile for reasons unknown and not to mention, his ambiguous (but seemingly unfriendly) relationship with River.
I'm not sure if there's going to be a novella for the heroes beyond 1st gen, but I'd also love to read Barnaby's backstory. Where does a young bunny go to get a remarkable suit of armour?
I got a hutch the misterios character that Say Hello In the end of book two have to be The Stranger.
I really excited for the next books you guys have my support, Keep Up the Good Job Guys and Let the Wyld guide you and have Good Fortune
We can have an idea of the rivalry between the wolf borthers ( hard to tell Thane story without mentioning his elder brother being exiled) , but I'm really curious about what makes Hargrave rival to Amber or Griotte rival to Mercurio and Yordana rival to Sana.
Also the map was like the living map from harry potter. So cool
Also the Bandit Clan isn't even mentioned. They have to have been established sometime during this new rule because the King and Armello's throne is clearly the reason for their existence.
I think that logic only applies to Spell cards. We never see Tau pull out items from nowhere or cause chaos on a whim. The Conjurer follower supports the idea that Spells and Cards are related but nothing like that supports any other deck.
It seems to me that Item cards (and Treasure cards) are anecdotes of in-world objects, Trickery cards are devious plans set to motion, and Follower cards are biographies of different characters.
Anyway, it seems to me that the actual Gameboard and all the Cards are actually what Tau has in the novella, and that somehow the player(s) have gained control of this most powerful Treasure.
