Novella reading order?

I'm considering maybe reading the novellas soon,
but is there any particular order I should read them?

I'd rather read them in chronological lore order.
Obviously 'The King - part 2' comes after 'part 1',
but I mean other than that.

I read them in the order they were released, so: Mercurio-Amber-Sana-Thane (I think that's right?). And I enjoyed that method pretty well, with the stories arguably getting better and the stakes higher with every installment. There's no real chronological order since they all end (spoiler) seemingly just before the game of Armello starts. I'm not sure whether I would read the King's before or after though

I double-checked, and you're mostly right. According to the armello news feed and a couple other places, Amber's novella was released first, then Mercurio.

The King part 1&2 being released before the rest. Are 'the King' novellas an 'origin story' of sorts?
Cause I should definitely read that first then, if the other stories take place just before the game.
