To be honest, I wouldn't mind getting more dice as a Spirit Walker, like...
> +1 die against infected players
> +3 dice against corrupted players
Pros of playing spirit walker;
One hit king kill
One hit Bane kill (even though that can be problematic at time because you can't move by doing it)
Doesn't have any rot damage at dawn
Doesn't give extra dices to corrupt characters
Cons;
Takes a lot of time to achieve
Can easily be disrupted by a Heist card
Can lead a losing fight against people stealing all the stones
Spirit stone quests failure is very punishing (Usually 2 prestige or a lot of magic)
Pros of playing corrupt;
Gains the corrupted opponent's dices as extra if higher
Explode pool is your amount of rot rather than your spirit (Making it advantageous for fighters)
Banes do not attack you automatically anymore
Gains 1 health after each kill victory in battle
If using Decay, gives you a very sustainable way to regain health from rotten to corrupt
Cons of playing corrupt;
Higher corrupted characters get your dices as extra
Takes 1 damage each dawn (except Dragons)
Gets two dices removed if fighting against a Dragon clan
Stone circles are a no go or punishing most of the time (Decay / Playing as Ghor & casting Bark skin alleviates that to some extend)
Can easily get one shot by a player casting Rite of Wyld
This isn't strictly accurate. The Dragon clan's affinity just reduces the number of bonus dice your opponent gets for having a higher rot score. If I have a 7 Rot and attack a dragon with 5 rot, I'll just get 3 bonus dice instead of the usual 5. But if the dragon has no rot at all, nothing will be deducted because I wasn't getting any bonus dice to begin with.
[EDIT: Beaten to the punch! That's what I get for being so verbose.]
As for Rite of Wyld, I wouldn't say it can easily one-shot a corrupted hero, as it can only be cast on a Bane or a Stone Circle. Since corrupted players naturally tend to avoid those anyway, you're not gonna see many opportunities to use that spell on them.
