New player here, multiplayer question(s)
I've only played a couple games of single player. How does multiplayer work exactly? I see there are items to equip pre game and stuff, is it the same in multiplayer? Do some players have better items than others?

Also, what do the chests from microtransactions unlock?

I like the feel of the game. However, I feel like multiplayer is the only way to get good replay value from this so looking to see how it is on the forums here and elsewhere.

Hello there. You can get loot only from doing multiplayer so don't waste your time on single player games. After each multiplayer match you should get a chest or a key, sometimes you may have a streak of either - don't get discouraged. Opening the chest with the key will give you one of dice from the current set. You may also get parts of skins for characters (transmuting those pieces will result in getting one random skin from this clan). Also as you play you will unlock new rings and amulets you pick before the match starts.

As far as the rings and such go, are there ones that are vastly better than others? For example if I've only played a few games of multiplayer, could I get paired with someone with better items that has been playing the game much longer?

Just trying to see if there are any match making issues. Not that the playerbase is huge or anything.

Rings and amulets are up to your preference. Of course there are those that may seem more suitable for particular characters but overall it's mostly about your playstyle.
Yes you can be matched with people of higher level but they won't be overpowered. Also the playerbase is quite constant so you shouldn't have issues finding people to play with.

You should play some single player before diving into MP. You'd at least get a feel for how the game plays, for one thing. The other thing is that you can unlock clan signets and amulets through SP, so you'd be able to play MP with better skills/abilities.

Actually playing MP is the only way to learn it. If you learn from the AI players you wont last long in a MP game. Waste of time. No offense

Play SP only to unlock rings and amulet you deem useful. In MP, you'll find that difference in equipped amulet and rings can be impactful. These are player's choice, so choose the best ones that suit your style of play.

Edit: Welp, everything has been said by posts above me. Didn't realize that XD

Yes, you'd probably learn more if you play MP, but it's still a good idea to unlock some signets/amulets through SP first so you'd get access to better abilities in MP to get a leg up in the competition.

So much of this, don’t be fooled by what many people tell you, there is no “best” ring/amulet for characters.

EX: my friend plays thane with the murder people for magic ring and + spirit and plays him as a sorta spellsword and he does very well with it even though thanes power and stats lend himself to a more fight focused play style.
