Dungeons at night

The tooltip for the game says that dungeons are more perilous at night than in daytime. Does anyone know what this amounts to? My guess would be a higher chance of spawning banes but i've no way of confirming.

Yep. It's more likely to encounter a bane in a dungeon at night. That means one of the possible rolls for a positive outcome (like Gold or a treasure) is replaced with a bane.
So, if you fear banes at night, be sure to enter the dungeon from a forest.
