What's the deal with wonders?
I'm eleven hours into the game and still have absolutely no idea how to even unlock them, I've seen them mentioned here or there but i've never actually seen one and have no clue how to get them. Side note, I've been in a single campaign for about 5 hours and despite it being a mancer playthrough, i've only gained four outposts the whole time, two of them freehouse, one imperial and the default mancer one you spawn with. Is there something that can block them from spawning/i'm searching the wrong places?

So the way to unlock more content is to unlock the soultree.. this is done by gaining population

You gain population by building our your settlment.

If you place a manner outpost you will gain mancer population. If you expand the imperial outpost you gain imperial population

You see the blue vein on the soultrees that is the population. And at every junction you will unlock new content to find in the world..

If you this find more captains and commanders they will also attract more population . But only as you build more walls and walkways and foundations.

I am adding more guidance for this in the coming update.

The wonders itself are unlocked thru a random enxouter if you reach 3500 population in one of the three political factions (not freehouse)

Hope this helps.

Is it possible to get all three wonders? Or are you locked in on the first one you complete the quest on?

I had thought I read somewhere that you had to have that 3500 population and have that population be dominant at the time to trigger the quest. It just kind of happened that building up the Bannerless population without actually placing their commanders or Captains let me unlock Atun first. So I thought if I started in on the Mancer population next and let them temporarily gain that dominance it might let their wonder unlock and I could then follow suit with the Imperial, but that didn't seem to happen. Several hours of building and checking around in the airship and no quest line appeared. Not sure if it was just bad luck on the trigger for the event of if one locks out the others.

Hmmm it should trigger. But i think if you first unlock one path and hit the pop requirement its placed at the top of the stack of encounters. But if you do the second wonder in the same setting its just shuffled into the random order and it might take unlocking everything else before it pops..

I can't trigger the Imperial Wonder . .

I have everything else (including merchants and wonders) and population for Imperials is 5000 +

<shrug>

edit: and gone round the map numerous times . .

hmm that is odd.
are you imperial dominant? that means in the top right of the map or resource flow does it say "imperial" above the faction alignment bars?

i.e are imperials in control of your settlement, and the biggest 'block' of commanders, captains and population?

if you have 5000 imperial and you are still say pirate dominant, it won't trigger.

i think in the soultree it needs to say something like aligned underneath the imperial tree. can you share a screenshot of the tree and perhaps your alignment bars on the map?

you can also join the discord and send me your savefiles so I can debug and see if there's a bug at work:
