would love to see and share it
Hey, thanks for making this cool game!
I did share a couple screenshots of my bridge across The Maw but I think I can build something much longer if I start a new game with that expressed purpose. Will likely need the Mancer/Imperial wonder to push the limits since some deep ocean gaps are too wide to bridge conventionally.
Is it possible to attain more than one wonder? I did try getting the Bannerless wonder after I'd claimed the Imperial one but I couldn't trigger the dialogue after combat. I assume that was a bug but I haven't tested it since.
In any case, I'll be sure to share some screenshots/video of my Belt and Road Initiative. :P
I guess that might make sense lore-wise tho I do recall seeing a screenshot with both of them in it. Will try to get them both at some point.
Edit: Just figured out a trick with foundations that should allow me to bridge just about any ocean gap with the Imperial wonder and enough time so I may not need the Mancer one after all. Also, I'm now pretty confident that it's possible to make a line of towers connecting any two points on the map, with enough time and effort.
They have it running in and out of all the resource nodes in the Maw.
There are now also a bunch of resource extractor random encounters that come in earlier , so you can get your extractor count up to 6, which is more than you would need
the puzzle is to manage with the limitiations, but it is easily possible with good ship use and also bridging the deep water with tall bridges, which helps a lot.
I'm currently using this technique to build a massive causeway crossing the map NE to SW. I'm following a path through shallow water and land areas, only crossing deep ocean when I must. It can be done in a straight line but would likely take longer b/c of how much time it takes to build over deep ocean.
The Imperial wonder makes it so much easier. It's basically freebuild mode in a radius around it. While using it for my bridge project, I accidentally discovered you can build right on top of neutral settlements. Was tempted to build an imperial city level over a Banerless town I was trading with lol
The work is done! The Grand Imperial Causeway shall return prosperity to the peoples of the Ursee: https://youtu.be/1xqAph9_7BI
