What can I do with the Mawspring Mechanism?
I just got the Mawspring and in game there was some talk about resources and stuff so I thought it would be able to extract some or something similar. But that doesn't seem to be the case and putting an outpost near it and building into it doesn't seem to do anything either. What am I supposed to do with it?

its just a cool way to modify the landscape,, its mostly esthetic..

but you can uncover stuff under water, like mountain bases and even expand the maw..

hahaha to me It is the coolest wonder in the game, cuz of how drastically it can reshape a settlement,.,

but perhaps I should add another buff to it ;)

the imperial wonder is all about the resources tho

oh that's really cool! I'll have to make my base even cooler with it :)

Would be kinda cool if there were resources below the ocean that you can only access with the mawspring. Or maybe other kinds of treasure, maybe even a sleeping recruitable monster or a sunken salvageable building. I think it would require some sort of treasure hunting mechanic to not have players search the ocean floor randomly. Maybe just a special sort of question mark.

Yes, that would be good because right now, it doesn't do anything useful.

I think they talk about how it used to be used to gather resources because if you look at 'the Maw', it's got a stone and iron deposit that wouldn't be accessible if not for those water-repelling statues. I assume if there were a lot of other underwater resources in the area, there would have been other Maws built by now

I am working on a new currency for the game,. "splinters" which you can use in fairly simple ways like affect the unrest in other factions or as tribute to end a war.

But could be that the mawspring could reveal hidden caches of splinters under the sea.
that'd be fun...
