Mind Rover
This game reminds me a lot of a game I got, God-Help-Me, over 20 years ago. It had similar scenarios but it also had combat scenarios. Is there any chance of that here? One of the Expansion Scenarios was also sporting events between competing bots. Again, no player control, just put the bots in the room, you'd have to have wired them for soccer or whatever, and let 'em go. Wiring in this game looks pretty deep. If you wanted to create behavior beyond a certain complexity, you could wire in a component that ran scripts, but that wasn't fair for competition.:steamhappy:

Funny thing, that game still runs on my windows 10 setup, but the company's been defunct for like 18 years so good luck finding a copy.

So that's why I'm nosing around this community.

No plans currently to do multiplayer as I am planing on releasing very soon. Has been mentioned before so it was on my radar, but will depend on how successfully the game is to whether extra features like that come along. Currently I just plan to expand on the sandbox mode and the level builder!

Mindrover didn't have multiplayer per se either. But people would post robots on websites for download so you could test your bots against theirs.

That sounds doable as you can already share robots on workshop, however the game isn't currently geared for battles.

I've got the demo. Sad as it is I don't have the money right now. Sent the link to my brother. I think his son'll love it.

MINDROVER! Yes! I loved that game. I was so happy to stumble on LogicBots. The puzzels are great but yes, if there were a battle scenario, that would be amazing.

I think that updates along the way, or dare I say it - expansions or sequels - could be an excellent way to add battle scenarios and such to this game. As of now, I think polishing what is in there is for the best though.

I've only of course completed the college levels in my 10-15 hours played so far, so I can't really say the game lacks in content. Only just recently realized how I can properly finished the maze you have to navigate immediately after that (when I tried to make it possible to do "any maze, I ended up being short like 2 switches and $50 over budget after using both expansion boards).

I loved MindRover. :happy_creep: I enjoy robot building games like this. I know I'm giving away my age when I say this... but my first robot building game was Robot Odyssey. :cybereye:

You're only giving away your age to people who know how old that game is. I got it when I was like 24.

True. But we also live in a time where it's easy to search Robot Odyssey in Google and see how old it actually is. :cybereye:
