APPLICATION ERROR / FAILED TO FIND STEAM

Im trying to play the game on Windows 10 and went through the steps to "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" correctly but when i tried to start the game up, i get a pop up saying "Application Error/Failed to Find Steam" and then the steam store automatically opens up. What is there to run the game normally and to prevent this from happening?

Id also like to mention that before you get the "Application Error" even though the game menu that has the options to Play, Tutorial, Manual, Read Me, Web Site, etc. Once i click on "Play" i get a pop up saying "Please minimize the Steam Client to the Systray" and "It is recommended to minimize flashing in 688i Hunter-Killer that you minimize the Steam client to the system tray by left-clicking the X in the upper right hand corner of the Steam client."

I'm getting the same thing. Clicking on Tutorials doesn't work. Clicking on manual also does not work. When I click on play i get the Steam not found error. How are we supposed to get this game to run?????????????????????

Go to your Steam-Folder and copy "Steam.dll" in 688-Folder. That's all.

Copying Steam.dll does not work ....

good ide to check the compatibitly so can not spell it my game works fine on windows 10

Thank for the help of crewmate PITTI. Just copied "steam.dll" to game directory and my submarine is travelling the seas now. Thanks very much sir
