About conterfeit and questionable goods

Hello sailors,

In a lot of ports I can select either questionable or counterfeit goods. While the value for those contracts is interesting, I know it would lower your reputation, but is there any thing else?

Can you have issue with customs? What are the odds you can encounter them? Is it actually worth it to snuggle those goods in?...

You will get problems with the customs and there is nothing you can do against. It's only luck.
You will have to pay penalties, the goods are taken away and your ship will be under quarantine.
