Stuck in the Prison, what now?

Hello!
Glitchy and incomplete as it is, I really enjoy playing this third part of the Dracula trilogy.

However, I'm stuck and I need some help.
I'm in the Fox Peak, in the prison. There's that corridor behind the boulders that probably leads deeper. When I enter the corridor, it lets me go forward a few screens before the character says: "I must have done something wrong", and then I can only turn around and go back to the prison.
The corridor seems to lead nowhere...

So... what the hell am I supposed to do there?

EDIT:
the various tutorials mention a feather that should be there somewhere that I am supposed to take... umm... what feather? There's no feather there

Ok, solved.
For some unexplained and probably incredibly idiotic reason that isn't mentioned anywhere in this ridiculous Steam version of the game, you have to do the following:

- Enter the prison
1. don't equip yet the old coin
2. go through the tunnel
3. when arno says "I must have done smething wrong", move forward once
4. equip now the old coin
5. move back to the prison
and eventually you will find yourself in another room.

Someone commented this on a walkthrough on jayisgames.com, I tried it and it indeed does work.

I believe more people will eventually encounter this exact same problem, so I'll leave it here.

Thanks, I had the same problem and your solution works... Maybe it's another remainder of a half-removed puzzle, but at least I can continue now.

Despite all the negative things, I still think it'd be a shame if someone got stuck and wasn't able to play to the end

I managed to get past it, but I just had to keep doing it over and over again, eventually it worked for me.

Good, that's good!
But of course, it would be better if the glitches weren't there in the first place

Not sure about the coin, i have pass it through easy, because the logic behind this tunnel is that when you go forth at some point you face the back as you came and it confuses you to go in wrong direction so that you never pass the tunnel, if you turn proper and walk forth you will pass it, just remember the looks of the cave cause they are different and you will find the proper walk to pass it.

Ok, so here is what I did and I repeated it just to make sure it works. I read all the messages in the prison, noticed the cigarette butt, moved the boulders blocking the path. I moved forward 4 times, then turned around and moved 3 times back and ended up in the temple or whatever this place is. I did not trigger the padre saying, "I must've done something wrong."
