crashing whenever i try to load in

it gets to the main menu fine but when i press play it loads and then crashes, i restarted pc and tried it on solo and multiplayer, still crashing...

Launch the horde mode, see if it works. The story crashes on load for me, but horde still worked.

yeah I have had it happen on 2 different high end systems. it seems to load 2nd or 3rd time, but inconsistent. Hopefully they will have a patch soon.

By the way, this is on the Steam version

they standalone works fine. but I wanted to better graphics from PCVR

I had this same behavior (game would crash to desktop 100% of the time on map load, with no error message and on every game mode., This was not on the steam version though, rather it was on the Quest PC version. I'm not sure how I solved it, but it works for me now. Here are all the things I did: Uninstalled/Reinstalled the game, updated my bios, updated Windows, connected via a wired link and suddenly it was working. Now I'm able to play via Air Link with no issues.

Are you booting the game with Virtual Destop running? If so try booting it without VD to see if that fixes the issue

ive tried quest link and steam link i do not own virtual desktop

Where did you buy the game and what headset are you using?
Also make sure to update all youre current drivers.

Okay i seemed to have fixed it this is what i did

1. Uninstalled and reinstalled
2. Installed latest drivers and made sure windows is up to date (im using windows 10)
3. Went into the files and made the game start in admin mode
4. Allowed the game thru windows firewall
5. installed the latest version of Microsoft c++
6. put the -dx11 startup parameter (idek if this even did anything but its worth a shot)

Hope this helps i think installing c++ is what fixed it for me i have no clue why though.
