How is the performance on this one?
I played the original years ago and it ran fine but when I installed it again recently it ran worse than anything else despite my system being much better now and able to run stuff like Half Life Alyx with no issues.

Didn't want to bother fixing whatever was causing the problem and just wrote it off.

Might pick it up again if its actually playable now.

The perfomance is much worse than Arizona Sunsine 2 ... IN REMAKE with RTX 4070 Super i have to lower res to 1,2 and FPS sometimes drop to 70 ... In AS2 res 1,4 max graph and fps 90 for most time ... Bad optimalization in AS Remake

Its "Sad" that in 2024 no DLSS or FSSR exist in many VR Games.

You can use VRPerfKit_RSF to inject FSR or NIS in this game, it works.

i didn't have any performance issues on a 3080. But +1 using the perfkit. It does supposedly make things sharper as well

Using resolution upscaler in game is better than injecting FSR but this mod has Variable Rate Shading which improves performance quite a lot.

How to install? Does it work?

It's generally fine, but in the caves I got a bit of a frame drop. Disabling Volumetric Effects in graphics options substantially improved performance in this area. Odd that it didn't cause any problems outside.

It runs stable enough if i disable Volumetric Effects, on a 3700x 6700 xt with high settings.

Easy, no instalation, you just need to copy 3 mod files to game main folder, you can edit settings (upscaling method, VRS radius, dynamic resolution) in one of them which is txt file. It works in most of Unity and Unreal Engine games.

I use this one, it sorts it all out for you.

It is good, I see it is still updated, I used this one before but it did not had fixed foveated rendering then (I see it has it now), later I found out VRperkit by fholger, his work it is continued by ravensystem https://github.com/RavenSystem/VRPerfKit_RSF

I have just used the Forveated option at default settings for this game so far, the game is running great for me on medium settings on a RTX 2060.

Most of the time it runs well and looks good, but I regularly have frame drops and sound stutters.
I play with a 12700k and 4070ti
