Nobody, but it's a nice surprise. It was a great games from early days of VR, now brought up to standards. A ton of modern features and physics added.

Yea, it does look a hell of a lot better.

I personally would prefer they have put this effort into a different IP, not just retreading an ancient (in VR standards) game.

It's a lot more than just graphics. It added a lot of new features you expect from more recent games like Alyx.

Now you have full collision and physics interactions, you can knock things around with your hand or gun.

You can touch enemies and pick up their limbs in full ragdoll physics like in Alyx.

Enemies now can be dismembered in multiple ways.

You have manual reload (eject clip, put a new one and chamber it) instead of previously just having to bring the gun to the belt.

You can use melee weapons and even use a gun in one hand and a crowbar on the other hand.

Everything you would expect of a 2024 VR first person shooter. It's a far cry from the original bare bones arcade.

Also, 90% off for owners of the original. So why not?

Besides, working on this side project didn't stop this same dev to be working on their main project, which is Metro Awakening that is coming out in only a few weeks. Win Win situation for everyone.

I've played Arizona before, thus why I'd prefer a new game.

It's honestly like what they did with Boneworks/labs. Boneworks had a phenomenal campaign and then we got Bonelabs. Bonelabs is literally recycling the same guns and enemies (some additions) from BW and even same levels like the Arena.

At that point, i would have preferred SLZ put effort into a new IP using the engine than repackage BW

Like I said.. this was a side project, mostly retrofitting what they did for Arizona Sunshine 2.
They are releasing a new game in 2 weeks

Not a new IP, but even better bringing the beloved Metro series into a VR prequel.
