How to disable zoom-effect

I recently played the game with a friend local on one pc. we really like the game, beside the fact, that when both players are near each other, the game zoomes in. And it zoomes out again if the distance becomes further again.
So in a duel there is always in and outzooming. Is it possible to turn that off?

Using high resolution ultrawide monitor here and I had the same question. The incessant zooming in-out is making the game unplayable. :(

Looks like the workshop is dead, modding is dead, can't make the game understand modding options like "cameraMinimumZoom" in any config file. Seem like it doesn't read GameplaySettings.json from any location.
