I've gone in and out again, reset the game, everything. I'm about to try again, so I'll keep y'all posted...
Thanks folks.
So, yes. I solved my issue... sort of...
I was Lara, my son was playing as Horus. This is when the orb was indestructable for some reason. So when we went in today, I chose Horus, and he chose Lara. I don't know why it worked, but it did. So if you're having this issue, try swapping your players around. Worked for us, don't know if it'll work for you.
And if anyone from Square bothers reading these things, try looking into this bug, and maybe fixing it in a future patch.
Thanks for your time, folks.
I can confirm this worked, for some strange reason. Thanks for the tip!
This game was fun, but so very, very glitchy.
This bug still exists after 5.5 years.
The only way to progress is if the host controls a staff user.
SE never bothered to patch it; like usual. Couldn't even release patches for a critically acclaimed game like Nier Automata, why would this cheap, budget, buggy game get one?
