Coop gamepads

I want to be able to play this coop on my PC. Currently I have only one Xbox remote. When I start a coop it defaults to my keyboard for one player and the xbox gamepad for the other. If I get a 2nd xbox gamepad can I play this coop with one player on one gamepad and another player on the other gamepad? Or will it be stuck on keyboard for one and gamepad for the other?

No I mean does the game support 2 play coop with two game pads. Or does it have to be a gamepad and a keyboard.

This isn't working for me. I have two 360 gamepads and only one is recognized. I can select up to two players local coop and I only have the option to play with one gamepad and the keyboard, but not two gamepads. Basically makes the game worthless for me.

I don't have a 2nd 360 remote yet but plan to get one so I haven't tried it yet. I do have a Logitech gamepad but it won't recognize it. Will only recognize my other 360 gamepad.

Same problem. Wireless XboX360 controller + Razer Onza - can't play on both gamepds together... Only one of them or both if 3 player coop (2 gamepads + keyboard). Please fix it!!!!

Playing local coop with one xbox360 gamepad and one logitech dual action gamepad + x360ce. Works fine :)

I understand what your asking. I had the same problem and searched for answer. Windows 7 no longer supports the old game controllers. They support controllers[ that have the new XInput. Which means a 360 controller--just make sure it has the XInput. We had to order to new controllers as none of of games work with our current controllers in Windows 7

The game worked just fine with two xbox 360 controllers on my PC. Very good game

You need to follow the instructions here for other controllers (I use a logitech rumblepad 2), but this may over-ride a real xbox controller.

confirming local co op with multiple x360 gamepads works fine. Switching between keyboard and additional controllers is instant and pretty clever.

No luck with 2 DualSense gamepads. Only one gamepad for the first player and keyboard with mouse for the second one. Running on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 20.04.2 with Steam build-in emulation tools.
