Are there any mods for this game?

I love its art style, weapons, and story, but want to get some more gameplay out of it. I expected it to have tons of mods, considering 7.62 had some, and this is newer by the same company, but I've had no such luck in finding any. And by mods, I mean a whole new story, something equivalent to Blue Sun mod, not just a sound change or new weapons.

Also, does anyone have any sort of documentation on the company? I can't find anything on it, even translated Apeiron to Russian and searched that, no luck at all. EDIT:Right, I found a Russian wikipedia article, and an old interview, that's is. If anyone has any information on the current state of the company, I'd love to hear.

i've considered making a sound mod since stuff like weapon sound files are openly accessible

Oh, maybe reason for no mods is that everything is packed into one big file, making any editing almost impossible? That's probably it. I might try out a sound mod if it were made, but it wouldn't really increase replayability by much.
