Game crashes after loading video

Game installed fine, though i did not see it install anything like directx. When i try to launch the game it plays the intro video then a screen with a loading bar pops up, about 3/4 of the way through that fades to black and i get an error saying it cannot reset the direct3d device. Dxdiag says everything is working fine. The support page just links to something in Russian, seeing as i don't understand a bit of that it is rather useless. Anyone have similiar issues with this game able ot get it going, or can anyone tell me where to go for a refund? The Steam support button just keeps sending me to that Russian webpage, can't find a way to actually contact Steam.

I know how to solve the problem. In the map Config in the game directory you will find the file config.option. In this you should enable window mode by setting this to true using the texteditor of your preference. You can also disable intro video here. This solved the problem for me. Afterward I could switch back in the game to full screen again with no crash. Hope it helps.

Forgot all about this game until recently, then found my old thread. I checked the config.options and it did not have an option for window mode or to disable the intro video. I found both of those in the config.cfg within the same folder, disabling the intro video does indeed skip that but the option to change the game to windowed mode does not work (it stays full screen). Still get the crash at 3/4 of the way on the loading page.

I had the same error, apparently window screen mode being set to true helps. Just go to config.options and set the last option 'fasle' to true, adjascent to // window screen mode

Just writing to confirm this solution still works under Windows 10.
