For the buffet blueprint- did you click on it in/press E (I can't remember which I did) your inventory? I had to interact with it in order to learn the recipe!
I also agree that creating a story around/using the monsters that come to the inn would make it a lot more interesting and keep people playing because they'd want to learn more. I'm curious, how many different monsters will be in the full game and if there will be an expanded map?
I agree, I usually hate fishing mini-games! I was happy to see that they didn't go with the typical methods (click here, hit this button, etc). Just another thing that makes it unique!
