For now i have skeleton archer, necromancer, ghost, vampire, ancient vampire.
For no loss game i use Sacrifice on vampires to heal necro and archer, but.... it's long procedure.
Now i switch ghost with dark archer. I use dark cloud and ice spikes to block enemy, leaving 2 separate tiles with vampire and anc. vampire. archers and necros from distance.
Very long procedure, but i'm in the forth island with only 17 noloss battles and leadership it's very low.
Perhaps i must start using blood princess to refill units.... i hate demons >_>
Any ideas?
I'm playing Impossible for the first time after 8 other playthroughs. My guide will help with ALL of that.
The Vampire has a very hard time early going. Yes, I agree the spells suck early. Also, going undead for no loss is, I've got to say, impossible. The best is a mix, of which one of the parts of my guide(it's divided into about 10 sections), explains the best ones. I've also added in the Impossible section a lot on what spells are worth getting and which ones aren't. I may make a more comprehensive guide on the spells, but basically there's only about 10 that work well with Orc and Demoness.
If Undead only, You'll want to replace the Skeleton Archers(too brittle) with Ghost Pirates. You can find them In Inselburg at a sunken ship, where you have to fight an enemy unit to obtain. They have evasion and can find treasure chests and are drawn to them. For Resurrection help with the Undead(Again, this is part of one of my sections in my guide), I'll do a quick overview for your Undead Only options:
1. Resurrection spell- Using Simon the Mage in your shelter, if you obtain 3 of these, he'll convert them into an Of the Dark Version. However, these are scattered...everywhere and hard to get 3.
2. Turn Back Time- 50,000 Gold Piece cost but worth it. This one can turn back your units(the ones you're using) to their status in their previous turn. This is the same as resurrection but removes status effects as well. Simon has it for sale. Level it up as soon as you can with the crystals.
3. The black Ziogyns can resurrect undead units. These are the little black things that appear on the field after units die.
There are 3 other ways to resurrect, but they're creatures and not undead ones.
1. Dark paladin
2. Blood Priestess sacrifice. Use on summoned or raised units(such as the ones the necromancer raises)instead of your own army units. You can even use these to fill your units up without buying.
3. Heresiarch-Basically dark inquisitor.
Later in the game, after you get the military guy in the shelter from Tristrem, once you have given about 2000 prisoners to him, you can buy Bone Dragons. this is the only way I've seen for them to appear. You'll want to give him more prisoners so he'll have more of these Bone Dragons in the inventory. They can "self resurrect" by devouring fallen enemy units. There are only about 100 you can buy there. You can use blood priestess to create more of them.
I'm sure that i tried at lev 12 to check how powerfull he was. He had at least HALF of his actual army! Does enemy army change with your level?
