My only major gripe is that the quest log absolutely stinks. I gather it's like that on purpose to keep from spoiling the quests but at the same time, the lack of information or hints about where you could go next can make the game really frustrating at times.
that said, I do miss fighting bosses (there are definitely some fights that really should be boss fights instead of just huge stacks)
it also feels quite grindy at times. Bear Butte and Aralan especially start getting really repetetive quickly, and the errands you have to run become beyond annoying. at least the game itself makes light of the fact it is over-using errand quests.
I like the new spirit beast, but both love and hate the rage chaining you can do with it.
the dialogue is quite childish. and I mean that exactly as it sounds: it very often reads as if written by a 10 year old. no way can translation issues explain all of that. it's just very poor writing. worst of the series by far.
the main dark music theme is excellent. never get tired of hearing it.
you get your own personal slaves! 3 of them. makes for fun roleplaying and a lot of interesting item combos you can utilize with all the extra slots.
overall, I have played all the games in the series, and I still rank Armored Princess/Crossroads as the best, then Legends, then this, then Warriors (I hated the vikings and still never use them).
this game, like the others, is more than worth the money.
I rank it at 7/10
