STRATEGY GUIDE
Hello, after reading here that some people had troubles on impossible mode i will try to give some indepth strategies. this may contain spoilers so beware of reading further!

I won't give too many tips for the very start because that is a little bit to random based on what enemy stacks you get and a too little unit selection. However if people really want to know about how to play it, i will give advice.

Now with that out of the way we can start the STRAT GUIDE

First of all i would like to note some good units combinations that work well together
then i will put up some units combinations that work well with spells!

1, the invicible droid stack
Required to have guard droids/repair droids ( a possible spell to have better support is phantom)

what you do is put 1 guard droid stack in the middle split repair droids into 2 and put one on left other on the right. As for fights go snipe ranged units first with your repair droids and keep them away from melee units. let the guard droid use his abilities and make sure he doesn't get attack by 3 or more stacks. if needed run away with it. it's vital that you keep ATLEAST 1 troop of every stack alive!. because every 3 turns you can use the repair droids repair ability to regen your droids. For difficult fights or with hero fights a phantom on your repair droids may be needed to get a good repair stack left.

2. one stack of EGD(emerald green dragon), red dragon
required spell to have is invisibility and also a big help is being a mage with dual cast

during fights is you cast invisibility on your EGD so enemies do nothing. DON'T attack with the EGD so long you have INVISIBILITY ON. and ALWAYS USE the WAIT command before you do anything else while being invisible. now with that said

you can cast your enemies down with an area effect spell or use nature call or demon portal or a phoenixto have fodder and let them soak up the damage while your EGD snipes.
after each 2-3 turns use the mana ability of the EGD be sure to have atleast 3 stacks surrouding him for max mana regen.

you can also kill everything with the EGD but you need stoneskin and healing to have a god at that. but either way it works for NO loss

3. armageddon domination (works best for high intellect mages)

use dragon riders or black dragons
then just cast armageddon untill the enemies dies;) simple eh? :D

4. troll nightfight

what you need is 1 stack of trolls and stoneskin spell and ofcourse it being night or underground.

place your troll in a corner put stoneskin on him and don't let him get attacked by 2 or more stacks. he will regen each turn so don't worry about him getting killed. HOWEVER becareful of DOT(Damage Over Time). These include bleeding, freeze, burning, poison. They have a chance to instantly kill a troll during start of it's turn.

5. traitor army

required to have dark paladins, dark inqisitors and fill the rest of your lineup with t4 or lower units. Don't Put t5 in because they are harder to ressurect back if they die. and you need phantom spell

what you do is kill every enemy but leave 1 stack of ranged with a low amount or a low amount no retaliation stack. then phantom the dark paladins put every stack that had losses next to the phantomed dark paladin and use the ressurect spell of the paladin. now keep doing this until all of your units are completely restored.

6. vampire madness

reuired to have ancient vampires, vampires, vampiress., cursed ghost for extra spice and time back spell

do note that this army SUCKS vs undead or droids and plants. but for every other fight these units are heavily overpowered haha. make sure each stack is going 1v1 in bat form vs an enemy stack and beware of the cursed ghost not going out of control. you can do this without the cursed ghost however if you don't want to take a look at the out of the control for them. some cheap tricks you can use is when in bat form move 2-3 spaces away put them on wait and the enemy will follow but can't attack because no movement left
then you just attack without getting hit yourslef do this if you see your vampires don't steal enough back to gain full amount.

i'm too lazy to write anymore unit combo's but will post some units that have major impact during fights and are good too. I will write more combos if needed just PM me

now a list of good units that can blend in in any army

Archidemon.

a very good unit to have since his high ini. but most of all because the vulcano ability the enemy is a real sucker in trying to kill it ASAP giving you extra time to pick some enemy stacks off

Demoness.

her ability of seducing humanoids and her infernal exchange are time stallers.
if you need yourslef extra time to ressurect your troops the demoness can provide u with the required time.

simply by having 1 fast unit and 1 slow enemy unit (speed 3 or less) move your fastest unit to the far end of the battlefield let the slow unit come to your main army but just before he gets there use infernal exchange the slow unit will have to start all over again. this can also be done with seducing stacks 3 free turns to ressurect and more if you seduce again.

any dragon

they all are fast and high initiative. and can fly around and wait and after use their abilities.

Necromancer

a high ini unit with good abilities can bring the dead back to life;) and prevent a enemy unit from using annoying abilities with his magic lock and his damage output is also quite good and it's an area effect

demonologist

very good supportive unit which can create extra fodder each 3 turns and have some means of ressurection

Dryad

low level units but still great when you battle vs HUGE t3< stacks put them to sleep and start killing them :)

Blood priestress she can have some sort of ressurection althought it at cost of a friendly unit
but nothing hypnotise can't solve :)

dark paladin and inqi well do i need to say more? RESSURECT

royal thorn perfect for making fodder and doing quite some damage too beware of fire though;)

prolly mist some others but the ones i mentioned in combo list and as good units are mostly the key units for no loss

Note that i didn't mention any dwarves and orcs personally i find them quite useless they are slow and orcs have a too biggie random factor with their adrenaline and they are a pain in the ass to ressurect without using a proper resu stack non orcish or dwarfish if you go with that units BE SURE to have magic spring and ressurect else don't bother really

even though you can use a full t5 group with 1 orc shaman using his acces and totemts to heal the t5 stack but still very risky vs ranged stacks and stuff
if you feel i said something wrong then do correct me

now some small tips

your first priotirty in the game should be GET TRAP spell and get that trapper medal

this is because black dragons and ice dragons and phoenixes are a pain in the ass to kill without this spell

adjust your ITEMS accordingly for each fight!
CHAIINFIGHT as much as possible (reason being you start every fight with near to max rage and plenty of mana if possible of course but rage should be main focus cause jealousy is just a godlike rage skill:)

Try to clear a whole AREA first before you go into the next. because if you go to the next area you will just find out that enemies stacks are stronger and you lose on EXP because you didn't clear. and you will find yourself weaker than before

if you cannot win a fight try it again and again like 5 times with different setup or different approach. if it all failed dont worry TRY AGAIN. if after like 10 fights you still couldn't do it even after asking advice on forums then you have to give it that at that moment you are just to weak or unskilled xD

also prolong fights to get your medals achievement earlier

don't spend money unless it;s really needed and do buy mana and rage potions they are time saviors

also don't write every spell in the spellbook pick some spells only. you need to upgrade spells which cost crystals and they are not plentyfull at start.

oh and when you are on a new area first STEAL all free items and talk to every quest person

then think of which stack is easiest and kill it and move straight on to the next one until map is clear

what i also tend to do is keep 1 stack alive if i know a hard castle fight or hero fight is coming up. Reason i do that is i want rage and that easy stack will give it to me(yes i'm cheap i don't want to use a potion when it's not needed) but it saves cash anyhow.

that's most of i can think about now
will add more when i noticed i forgot something or found something new

anyway cheers
and hope your life at going no loss on impossible will be a bit simpler now ;)

Take notice of what damage type each creature uses, and use against them creatures with high resistance to that type. E.g. if you're facing faeries, send them a black dragon to chew on - even a 10k stack of faeries won't be able to kill him for several turns.

Stock on all items that grant resistance bonuses - +5% may not seem like much, but it makes a huge difference for a creature that already has 90%.

Get the Guardian medal for +7% free resistance to all.

Most common damage types are physical, magic and fire, the others are less vital.

Black Dragons and Phoenix (summon) - 80% resistance to fire and magic
Dragon Riders and Red Dragons - 80% fire
Paladins, Knights, Black Knights - 30% physical. Doesn't sound like much, but cast Stoneskin and you get 70% resistance to physical attacks.
Cyclops - 30% physical that can be augmented with Stoneskin. They can't be resurrected, but also have much higher health than knights and good melee/ranged capability. If you manage to find some early on, grab them - they become increasingly harder to keep alive in later game stages.
Celestial Guards (summoned by Royal Griffins) - 50% physical resistance that can't be augmented by Stoneskin (I think?), but other bonuses still work and 95% is nonetheless possible.

Thx, i was wondering why no1 had done anything like this ;)

The one question I have about this game though has been the same for every king's bounty game....is the +xp skill worth it in this game? (aka do u get more out of then u have to invest)

Of course it's worth it. Why would you think otherwise? The quicker you become powerful, the easier it is to take no losses in battles. A no brainer.

One thing many of you might have missed: you can summon ice dragons to your army with the Call of Colossus scroll in Darenbam. If you already have ice dragons in your army it won't work though. Place the ice dragons already in your army in any castle (eg. at the shelter) and tp to DarenBAM - summon full host of ice dragons and you have reinforcements at the castle.
You're welcome.

Honestly, with the current changes. Demon army is the way to go. Lay down summons in bulk first turn, delay demoness turn. Swap summon and enemy charmable as the last action of your turn. Charm enemy unit. Sacrifice it into your now sitting in the middle of the enemy summon. Use Flames of Passion and Call of Nature to further tarpit.

You can get so many units on the enemy side of the field that you can easily pin down the entire enemy half of the battlefield long enough for a second wave of summon/volcano/charmsacrifice.

The trick to no casualty runs isn't not getting hit. It's making the enemies only ever hit your summons.
