IF you need the princess for the gnawie part, ANY princess will do. I've a guide here on steam in the guides section on how to obtain many of the princesses.
EDIT: Actually, I just realized you wrote the Beginner's Guide that I was using early on, it's great!! Thanks for your hard work. I still have it bookmarked and it's been quite helpful (I got the early teleports, helped pick some units, spamming D to find treasure, alchemy set, Call of Nature, etc.)

Getting those princesses helps you get a massive amount of Dragon Riders, the best unit in the game. Up to 43 total(except if you spend 2 on quests). With a lot of Riders, it's "Dive" ability can wreck a lot of armies you go up against by itself(I usually do it on Turn 2, dragon summons on Turn 1). All a person has to do is keep them away from potential harm when they do all this.
