Monteville, Carmilla, and the 10 Female Vampires

I went to Monteville to garrison some recruited Undead to make way for Dragon Riders. I used to get Catapult recruits but since having the Neromancer rasing so many enemy dead, I've been getting Undead. I hate wasting anything or anyone so I garrison troops all over the place. It's a waste of time since they never add up to much. Occasionally they're useful if I can find them again.

So, (Take Two) "I went to Monteville to garrison some recruited Undead..." and I was surprised to find 6 almost identical Vampire armies roaming around. "Oh boy," I thoughrt, "now I have a chance to get those 10 Female Vampires that I couldn't get because I killed Carmilla as soon as I met her."

No such luck. Her castle and the Royal Castle are locked, and bare, respectively.

Ok, looks like one more quest will be incomplete. No matter, I still have the underdog Orcs to work on. Now that I'm keeping the Necromancer and the Dragon RIders in the army, it's getting less Orclike though.

Another lost or delayed quest

Since I'll probably need demons In Atrixus and the final boss fight, I better not turn the Demonologist Verdelet to the Dark Side until I've plundered his store. Of course, that means I won't have early access to whatever he helps Carlo Ciniselli make. Demons will probably be better anyway.

When I pllayed Demoness, I turned Verdelet too soon, lost his goodies, and he never did or had anything in The Shelter.

I think it is fixed, he just sells some spells anyway and u can get them when u take him to shelter too. And he has the same units too.

Another funny thing is Marie Curie the scientist wants 10 vampires but Carmilla only has 6 in her castle :P

Dword, as you killed Camila who did you put in the throne of Monteville? Carrado? When you don't kill Camilla midgame she "revolts against the dark side" (whatever) and even so she has units to sell in Monteville's main castle.
Tan Tun, I think the point is to make you use the b priesstess' sacrifice so you can get the 10 female vampires to create a horde of f vamps that you won't use.

Could be a difference in Race and Difficulty or, as always, an intervening DS update, but iin my first game, as Normal Demoness, I was able to buy 10 Female Vampires from Camilla.

The number of f vamps is random. I've got 6/8/10/12/14 in different playthroughs.

11 for me! I was able to turn them in and do the Marie Curie quest (she sels me 50 female vampires now). If you get unlucky and Carmilla doesn't have enough, is there a way do it? I'm guessing completing her 7 dwarves (lol) quest will open her up to selling more? If so, that's good, but it's a loooong road.

After you complete the 7 dwarf quest, she will have 200+ in stock, However, once you talk to her and make her the queen of montville. She no longer sell Female Vamp from the main castle.
