Map #11. City

I really need help on this one.

The objective is to level up a couple of banks to lvl 3, which requires you to transport 2,000 tons worth of money for each one.

The problems I'm facing: The available money cars can only carry 4 or 8 tons apiece (plus a few racing cars that carry 1 or 2 tons). Most of the contracts are for higher tonnages. I've been trying to send several cars on the same contract so that they can work together to carry the higher loads, but the contracts often fail. Furthermore, because I'm focusing my efforts on just two of the enterprises on the map, my cars have to wait a long time to enter the loading docks.
Not only am I not transporting the volume necessary to complete the mission by 1998, but I'm also almost going bankrupt by the end of it as well due to failed contracts.

Any strategies on what combinations of cars to use on what tonnages of contracts or other helpful hints for this level? I've restarted the map like four times already. xD

I totaly feel your pain. This level is a horrible one. If you find a way to beat it let me know.

This level is a bit tricky but beatable.
The biggest problem are the queues in front of the the banks. Your trucks can't deliver the money because they have to wait in front of the door (it doesn't matter if you put two 4 ton trucks on a 8 ton job or one 8 ton truck).
In my trys on this map the competitor focused mostly on the bank in the south so i grabbed me the one in the north at the beginning. Try to do all the jobs that include this bank but avoid deliveries from the northern bank to the southern.
(All contracts count toward the 2000 tons aim.. doen't matter if you or the competitor deliviers something)
As soon as some other companies rise, the competitor does jobs for them and reduces his money truck count so you can do some jobs that involve the southern bank.
For the 3 race cars.. i personally selled them and bought trucks for that money (hired the race car drivers for them :) )
After a few years the offered contracts also need slower speeds and you will get faster 8 ton trucks so you can switch to them instead of dozens of 4 ton trucks which reduces the queues a lot.

Wow, Cptpain, thank you for posting such a detailed walkthrough! I was able to complete the level finally using Killed's advice, but I will definitely try your strategy too next time I'm up for the challenge. :)
