Languages in the "german version"

Is it right that in the german version, german is the only available language? I'm not that into swastikas and stuff but having to listen to the bad german synchro is a reason to not buy this game.... I usually download the english audio because localisation tends to be rather bad in games. According to the trailers (Ger vs. Engl.), Wolfenstein is no exception.

I'd be sceptical until confirmed. In the Steam shop it says "Geschnittene Version - nur auf Deutsch verfügbar".

There is no english audio. Because they say terrible words like Nazi, Aryan and other gruesome stuff, which will let your head explode, if you're german.

I am sure the english language will not be available in the german version since it does use the terms "Nazis" etc and therefore it would have to be edited for the german version where we are talking about "The Regime" - so I so not believe it will be available - oh man, I do hate german synchros...

yikes. Then I will keep my fingers away from the game. Don't want to pay for a game that doesn't come with full content like chooseable audio..

If you look up the store page you can see that it will only support german language. They are lazy and didn't want to take any risks so they just limit us to one language. Cause as we all know you end up in prison for just saying nazi.

Can you confirm this? SteamDB says English would be available too, but I doubt that.

Afaik steamdb isn't related to steam/valve in any way. So every information there isn't more than mere speculation

So i bought the game and downloaded it and you CANT change the language. Its only german.

As i wrote here: on the store page only german is showing up so it is not going to be playable with any other audio unless you can get the original sound files.

If you want that you could/should ask steam support for a refund. Not because i want you to give it back but if you got a problem with the german audio i would guess that they will only take it back for a short time after it has been bought.
