Hello, Miners! 👋

We wanted to announce the opportunity to sign up for GMS2 playtests! We will tell you how to do it step by step, and when can you expect the start of them!

The most important information about the following playtests?

💎 This one will be mainly about… multiplayer!
💎 There may be more playtests in the future - let’s see how it goes!
💎 It’s worth signing up now - you will be notified once they’re live!

How to Join the Playtest

✅ Head to our Steam page and click "sign up" for the playtests
✅ Then you will need to wait for the information about when the playtests start (it won't be immediately)
✅ Once you receive the access - you are ready to play!

📢Please note that access to the playtests will not be granted immediately. We will open them later, which will be announced. 📢
Our playtests will be used to develop the game and receive feedback of specific mechanics, modes or versions of the game. Therefore, we will open it at the appropriate stage of the game's development.

We have started the sign-ups now so that by the time the version is ready, we will have a large group of betatesters, as only then will we be able to properly test the game. 💪

if i sign up to become one when the game releases we all that signd up are going to get the game for free and none of us that signd up that gets it?

With great pleasure we want to welcome you on Gold Mining Simulator 2’s steam page! Whether you're a seasoned prospector or just starting your journey, get ready to dig deep, refine your techniques, and strike it rich, as Gold Mining Simulator is coming to a different level - this time, with your friends in a multiplayer mode!

What's coming with Gold Mining Simulator 2? 📢

We aim to create GMS 2 with passion and respect to all of our fans - what's the most important, the game will be based on the analyzed feedback of our playerbase. With the strong base of the already existing Gold Mining Simulator, we want to meet your expectations and add our own ideas.

What has happened so far? 📅

Since the new team joined the company at the end of 2023 and took over the project, we have switched the engine from UE4 to UE5. 💥 This took a considerable amount of time, but it was necessary, as we want to support the game for a long time and expand it with future expansions! 🎁 We've also added a new map, NPCs, sidequests, changed approach to Gold support and communication. 🏆

Communication 💬

Communication with our player is the most important factor for us. We want to communicate directly and frequently, which is why we’ve hired a new Community Manager specifically for the players. There will be plenty of devlogs about the game's development as well! If you want to be a part of the game's development, give us feedback and ideas and talk to the devs directly - join our Discord[discord.gg].
📢 The German player base has a significant percentage share in GMS 1. We appreciate it, and from now on, all news will also be available in German! 📢

A little worried

I'm happy for a second game, very much so the multiplayer aspect.. But the way the trailer looks like one of those "mobile game ads that is entirely not what the game actually is" style has me honestly worried and giving me trepidation about it.. The screenshots don't look much better.. they kinda look.. worse than the first game....

Dedicated Servers?

I'm super excited for this game and excited to get my friends in on the fun. One of the features we love in multiplayer games is dedicated servers so we can host, have final say on settings and player admittance. My question is, are there any plans to add any sort of dedicated server support?...
