then they promise to fix some stuffs, it takes too much time than needed but they 'fix' it
and then there are those shadows.. they promised to fix it "next week" and it has been two months now
Putting the option in the game before we’d tested this was obviously an error on our behalf, especially as we hadn't managed to put shadows in the original game. For this we can only apologize.
That said, the Revenant Strike Suit will be launching in a couple of weeks, and this will go out to anybody that owns the Director's Cut FOR FREE.
Thanks for your patience with this - and apologies once again.

that's just amazing to scam people like that. shame on you
Thanks for the update...this is actually all I needed to know...this tells my OCD affected self that I'm free to get back to the game and hopefully they'll eventually do away with the shadows option. Even though this update could've been disclosed sooner, it's much appreciated.
Cheers
Visualy fidellity is important for immersion, especially when it was used to advertise the DC edition. I feel like I bought a lemon now. I don't think its superficial to be disappointed over the lack of a visual feature that plays a major part in over-all presentation. Though I have the original game to fall back on, I just feel scammed now.
Last time I impulse buy anything before first looking into user feedback and more importantly, the dev/community relationship.
I'm right with you there...I can't really blame them for being a limited dev team and I can appreciate the fact that there really aren't many games like this out there.
Props for their efforts in keeping us posted on the game's development and ironing out those first hand glitches.
I'd like to know the answer to that question too.
I've seen it stated in another thread that the game "was developed for PS4 and ported over from it (thus resulting in numerous optimization issues reported on these forums)" but that post was made some time ago.
So how does this seeming console port measure up today?
Is it in any way inferior to the PS4 version?
Does it still suffer optimisation issues?
I bought the game at the time of release at the 85% discount but, what with all the issues, I've not played it yet as I'd rather wait until it's properly finished before doing so. I can forgive the dev for omitting the shadows (as unfortunate as that may be) if the game otherwise looks good and plays well. If its current state is still as a shoddy and poorly optimised console port then it looks like I'll be waiting even longer before playing it...
