Difficulty with Friendship

Alright so I've had this problem for awhile, I love the game it's my favorite otome game to play ever. There's depth and it makes me laugh, there isn't anything horrible tragic or disgusting. It's a great game. I hate the friendship routes. Not because of there endings or even that they are in the game. Because of their difficulty and where they sit in comparison to the other endings.

I STILL don't have John, Benito's or Mathews Friendship endings and I've tried following other people's guides and missed around on my own. And the only reason I'm doing this is to Unlock the ending movie. I don't really want to play through them anyway but I want that ending movie.

Bottom line the frienship routes are extremely frustrating. The only reason I'm doing them is to unlock the ending video. In my opinion the difficult should be

No work=Bad ending
Normal work=Friendship
Hard work=Romance

It's
No work=Bad ending/alone
Normal work=Romace
Hard almost impossible work=Friendship


Can you consider having an unlock for the ending video that doesn't require the friendship routes? I've played the game for more than 105 hours and I'm not the only one it frustrates. It's kind of ridiculous at this point that I don't have everything cleared. This isn't a super meat boy game based on skill and timing, or a fighting game, it's a visual novel and it SHOULD have a clearer way to know what's going on.

Again I love this game but every time I look at it now even with the AWESOME voice work added (even with the current bugs within that) I just get really ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

i understand. the friendship one's are harder to get than romance it seems. you have a set time and event or it all going out the window. john in either mode is hard enough for the stats you need. to be friends you need to take out Lloyd a few times but he is really not wanting to until you pester him enough.

for matt in friendship he's affection meter goes up really quick for the first two hearts. if over the slightest bit, romance!.

ben that is different. even with me doing all the friendship choices i still got the romance ending. I got it later but i still wonder if it was a glitch. come on kid, i just want to be friends!

but i have all the endings and the ending movie is still locked for me. the only things i don't have is the CG's for adam 5 and matt 8 and other 26. so there more than likely still working on that. so don't beat yourself up over it. it's will happen sooner or later.

I'm not beating myself up I'm frustrated. I think the mechanics of the game are screwy and that it's all too difficult given the type of game it's suppose to be. Really I just wanted to voice my frustration about it all. I know 'how' to get the routes according to the guides and I've tried several times. To me it makes no sense.

What I want is when they do get the ending video done access to it without having to slog through the friendship options.

I'm currently having an issue the friendship endings as well, specifically with John's friendship ending. Ironically enough Despite the guy's initial relunctance to date Sian. It's easier to romance him than merely befriend him. I'm quite stumped since I can't get Lloyd to hang out with Sian. hmm

According to the guides you just have to keep bugging him until he says yes. All the friendship routes are frustrating. His is the worst by far... and I don't even want to do his friendship route. T.T his my favorite I want always to romance him. I just want the ending video... so doing this on top of not wanting to and the frustration just kind of killed the game for me for awhile.

It took me forever to get John's friendship route! I was scouring for help forever until I finally did it. >_< Everyone else came easy, especially since Matthew and Benito's depended on the second half. John's you have to nail the first half of the game to get it which is why it's so frustrating.

It's a little insane how hard it is to get. I spent almost an hour trying to get Johns and I still don't have it, I'm not even sure what I'm doing wrong.... >.<

It was so easy to romance him, I just fell into it on my own without even using a guide...I can't get his friendship even with one lol.

For John's friendship, you need to get locked on his path and then NEVER increase his affection EVER ; D I noticed that it's like this also for Adam and Benito friendships. (Played only Adam, John and Benito routes, so dunno about others) Get locked on their path and then keep their affection down (staying below 3 hearts worked for me, but this isn't a solid confirmation). Bit more affection and it's "normal romance end".

Initally, friendship routes were super easy to snag, which lead to most closed beta testers upset that it took a lot of effort to get onto the romance paths. I switched up the stats, but it looks like I swung too far in the opposite direction. I'll look at rebalancing things for our next update.

I wouldn't say that they're hard to get, it's more the fact that it's easy to get too much affection if you don't monitor your status carefully. Once I realized I just need to stay below 3 hearts it made life easier for friendship routes. There aren't any fully solid guides out there yet either, I just checked the ones on steam and none mention that.

Haha, I can't even get locked in with John in the first place (without romance starting). I end up either on the solo route or with Lloyd. I might wait until they get an update to try again with the friendship routes, they're doing my head in at the moment lol.

Did you try having EXACTLY 2.5 hearts with him? Cause I had less and got independent. Got 3 hearts and had romance, but 2.5 did it for me.

Really that would be great, short of that could we maybe get a cheat or something for the ending video when that's ready. That's really all I want. I'm a romance girl all they way the only non-romance ending I've liked is Llyod and Llyod is just awesome.

So I finally finished John's friendship route and all I can say... it wasn't worth the trouble. I was hoping for maybe a pairing up between him and *someone else close to him* but NOPE. It was the least satisfying and most difficult route to get through so far. And I only have one frienship route left to finish.

I know exactly why these were so tough for me now it's because they are boring and counter-intuative to the point of the game or the obvious point to the game anyway.

Also in his friendship route there has been so far the one and only time that I was completely taken aback by Sian's actions. She started acted strangely at the end like a whining child it was completely out of character. Did not like that at all.
