Game Kicks Me Randomly
Probably a networking latency issue but i get maximum of 10mbs which is enough for most games but for this game it seems to me that the server doesn't like anyone with a low bandwidth to the server and will kick them to save server bandwidth from being strained from constant packet failure. honestly for a game like this this should have been done p2p hosting where one person host and the rest are clients to the host so no matter what it doesn't have to deal with a 3rd entity. least with the time i was able to play which mind you was no more then 5 mins into the actual game before getting kicked, thats what it seems to me even if there is no visible signs of lag on the clients end. Sadly due to this reason I cant play this game unless p2p hosting was done.

If Others see this check your speeds and see if your upload speed is too low my testing shows ill kick anyone with less then 2-3mbs upload speed otherwise this might be a game that most people with poor networks cant play. sad really coming from a landfall game was quite interested to see the hype

Yeah they are using Photon servers to handle it, which means customization and voice streams is managed by those... And it costs money to run those.

There is a virality and self-sufficient mod which lets you host your own server I think in a roundabout way, to not need to use their public server bandwidth I think.

Hi! The game is P2P but relayed through servers for safety. Not really sure why you’re getting kicked, are you playing on threaded internet etc?

Something I should note for internet speeds and gaming... Bandwidth is finicky with your upload and download speeds.

If the game engine and games has this feature called 'texture streaming' it actually enables you to download textures in real time as you play.

So it depends on what features the game has that's bandwidth intensive, but I know that up to 4 people on voice chat (sending and receiving voice at once) is a bit chunky, then the same with syncing everyone's game, and then recording the video to share.

And if you have discord or other programs that eats bandwidth in the background (even Windows OS eats a little bit) it adds up.

Minimum internet speeds these days is at least 25Mbps download, and at least 10Mbps upload now. This is because if you have other programs running you are often downloading more so than uploading.
