HOW TO FIX File Note Found (can't extract video)
Mostly posting this so the devs can understand what is going on and they can get on a fix for it.

This bug is DEFINITELY caused by a space between your username on Windows. Your Windows username is part of the file path that Content Warning uses in the folder your videos (or "footage") saves to. Changing your username in Windows' settings does not actually change that name within the file path too, as that would severely break many programs and basic windows applications.

You can see this name within the file path by hitting the Start key, typing %appdata% and hitting enter.
At the top of the explorer window that pops up, it should say something like:
Local Disk (C:) > Users > YOUR_NAME_WITH_SPACES_HERE > AppData > Roaming >

FOR NOW, THE ONLY WAY TO FIX
is creating a new user on Windows with NO SPACES in the name and play the game while logged in as that user.
Go to Settings, then "Accounts", then "Other Users", then "Add other user".
Restart the PC, then login to the new account by selecting it at the lower left.

Hopefully the devs fix this. It's such a simple fix!

I did throw in a email myself but I don't really type a lot of emails. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Tho, it did make me realize I should remove the spaces from my User folder and so I did. You gotta have the knowledge beforehand tho and I wouldn't really recommend it unless you're comfortable with that. More better if the Devs fix it.
Mine is already without any spaces...
C:\Users\Asmug\AppData\Roaming
And it doesn't work, in fact, we're playing for 2 hours and it didn't work even once.

Are you getting the "file not found" error as well, or is the footage failing to extract when you put the camera in the machine?

We fixed the issue where having a space or an apostrophe in your Windows username would cause this bug, so there might be something else going on in your case.

Try verifying your game files to make sure you have the latest version of the game:
Right-click on Content Warning in your Steam Library > Properties > Installed files > Verify integrity of game files.

Also, do you have any mods installed?

Actually, I didn't have any mods installed, but I restarted the game entirely and started just throwing the camera directly to the bottom of the box, so it worked. Didn't try to verify files yet, but if this bug comes again, I'll give it a try!
Also, I couldn't just extract in-game, but I could get the video through F3 as normal, so I think it was something related to maybe finding the file in the folder.
About that "file not found" error you mentioned, is it shown in the console? Because I didn't even try to open it to see if it got any errors, unfortunately.

But for now, at least in our last session, it worked fine, I'll test again tonight and see if I can collect more info about what happened, if I get any other issues, I'll send here!

Glad to hear it's working for now. If you keep having extraction failures, there are more troubleshooting steps in the FAQ under "Recordings fail to extract or get stuck on extracting" that you can try: https://landfall.se/content-warning-faq

The "file not found" error message usually appears directly in-game (it comes up as a message on the screen) but if you haven't seen that message while playing, that's good.
