Ghost Stabby Kid Illusion

So. I am hosting a multiplayer game w me and 1 other person. We get to the third day on the ship level, and are exploring when I see a stabby ghost kid. Its giggling in an awful way. I start freaking out because it is trying to kill my friend, and running away and giving warnings. My friend, who has just been grabbed and stabbed on my screen, simply says "What?" and "There's nothing there." Ive already left him behind but i can hear the giggling stabby ghost chasing me. I can hear my friend trying to get answers, but im too busy trying to stay alive. We get back to the bell, and I'm trying to explain that he should be dead by stabbing, when the stabby ghost comes to the end of the ramp, starts almost dancing, and then launches into the diving bell. Im freaking out once again, but my friend has no clue whats going on. The ghost giggles as it launches itself out of the diving bell, and we review footage and theres nothing on his camera feed. Does the ghost make me hallucinate it? Is my friend now dead? Is this a bug? Any help is appreciated, because i feel like im going real life crazy.
Edit: So, I forgot to mention that we have run into this ghost before and both of us were able to see it and view it on camera. My friend had the camera at the time, so it seems like maybe if i had the camera, it wouldve showed up on the film. It was our first time in this area of the ship, and we were getting lost in the maze of the corridors, so logic went out the window when i saw that stupid ghost.

I've encountered the stabby ghost once so far, but both me and my companion could see it (and he showed up on the video afterwards), so I don't think he makes you hallucinate. Could be a bug.

Had a monster earlier my friend couldn't see and it was attacking him constantly cause we were grouped up, he took no damage but he didnt have the camera, so when we got the footage afterward he saw it finally eating his ass and it was pretty funny. I think its just a bug where that monster "didnt spawn" for that one player somehow and its just glitched if they have the camera so yea. Also it was a ghost girl ive seen them too and ill my buddies could.

Its a bug, happened to us with snail guy. It was one of our first matches and haven't seen it happen again. Person who could see monster was able to record it
