it doesn't work at all, because the devs capped the player count at 4

There was a mod practically day 1 of release, multiple mods in fact, but due to server issues and I believe even a specific request from the server providers or something, the devs have currently forcefully capped servers at their intended 4 player limit, which can't be bypassed by mods. But they've expressed that once things have been sorted out more the cap will be lifted
