Hey! I also have this issue, like I kept freaking out that there was someone following me, but it's just my own footsteps.

Yep, it's really annoying, and there are no specific settings I can find to change this. I have never had this issue in any other game, and I am using a gaming headset with microphone (https://www.amazon.fr/Nacon-Rig-Casque-pour-Noir/dp/B09ZP4K3G9)
