modding doesn't let me play online?

whenever i load up a mod, any mod, it will just not let me play online. like literally, when i click join random, it sends me to a private lobby. i have zero understanding of why this happens. anyone of you guys have the same issue?

Probably because the mods aren't compatible.
Most mods in games require all players to have them for them to work properly.

Hi! We've made it so modders get matched with other players who have the same mods. So it could be that no one else is playing with the same mods that you are when you're trying to start a session.

Yes, it's intentional that modders get matched with other modders.

Some players want a vanilla experience :) We've also noticed that some players have used mods to disrupt other players' experiences.

i uninstalled all of my mods, i still can't join public servers without a "more saves" mod. so idk

Again since probably no one else is using just that mod alone, you arent getting put into a lobby with anyone because you dont match with anyone else playing, its not really that hard to understand lol. if you are worried about saves you can always back them up there is a pinned topic i think that explains how to back up saves.

I would just recommend playing the game vanilla or find friends and tell them to get the same mods as you so yall can join the same lobby.
