Reminds me of Links 2003 with great graphics !
I play Links 2003 and it is still the best golf sim. The other one I play is called Action PC golf which is entirely differsnt but excellent. If this plays likes links 2003 it will be the best golf game on earth !

Yes, it will be! Given the team that is involved and created PG, it is right up the Links alley!

Yeah this is I think going to be much more like a Links golf game and hopefully even better and NOT like ARCADE Golf which in my opinion the Tiger Woods stuff is was whatever....

It seems like it is based on the Links 2003 game. Mike Jones is one of the folks involved in this and he made the best courses with the AP course designer I'd ever played .... they were spectacular. About a year and a half ago my brother and I said that it would be so nice if some company would make a new Links 2003 game with todays tech. This would seem to be it.

I think this will be better than links because of the improved mouse movement ways the ball can be hit and how it is affected and the many options one can tweak regarding this along with a much better course creator and I think the avatar and its reactions to shots or lack thereof will be better. I am hopeful that Links 2003 though great will be forgotten about because this game will truly improve on EVERYTHING that is great about links 2003 - I mean its been over 10 years right so its ok if we replace links with something better and forget about it right. ... ?

If Links 2003 was truly as popular as everybody says, why did it go belly up?

I never played that game so I can't speak to the issue myself.

Actually it did not go belly up. Microsoft sold it to Take Two, another gaming company, but they let it languish. At the time there really wasn't much they could do to improve upon it. In the end they misplaced the code and couldn't find it. With EA's TW series already out there was no impetus for them to move forward. The game still has a very strong following and new courses are still being created. It is still considered the benchmark to which all others are compared.

Yeah I think they came out with updates to play it on 2003 but watch it on youtube if you want a perspective of it ... thats what I did yesterday to remind myself why its still sitting in my drawer unistalled - I just prefer time spent in other endeavors but I am still glad I have it ..

Matching the greatness of Links 2003
will be a great but difficult job. I believe PG
is worth a try, I will buy it upon release.
Links 2003 is still very current, many HD
courses both real and fantasy. New courses
added all the time. Its fun to play the big
name courses and Links 2003 has all of them.
I hope and believe PG will indeed add to the fun.

No sir, new high definition Links courses look great.
PG is the Unity engine so I believe it will be better.
That said many HD Links courses are just stunning.
