Adding new players and changing clubs

I tried to add a new player in Perfect Golf, but when I went to press on SET DEFAULT, it would not save the name I typed or the clubs I had picked. I also tried changing the clubs of a player I already had created, but it wouldn't save changes on it's clubs either. PLZ help. TY

It was in his player .cfg
"defaultIndex":0,"currentIndex":0
his defaultindex was set at 1 instead of 0

Yes, TY for finding that file Geez, now if we can only get my meter smooth.

Lower the gfx settings all the way and see if meter is smooth.

guys, iceman in particular, i'm having the same problem and i don't know where to go to fix it as you have shown. I can't find the player.cfg file. Where is it at? Thanx in advance for your help. As it is right now I can play the game in an excellent fashion but can only play with the golfer i first installed. Can't put in a new one with a name and can't change clubs on my original golfer. Thanx for any help you can give me.

FYI you have to untick a club in your club selection before you can choose another. This is because of golf's 14 club limit. As for the posts above I'm not sure which cfg that Geezer is referring to.

yes mike, i have done that repeatedly but it will not save the club, it reverts back to the original selection. I have unticked the clubs, selected a new one and then when I go back to the game the clubs always revert back. I thought maybe it had to do something with the game to i have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have other problems with the menu other than this but i consider them small potatoes. don't want to push it, lol one thing at a time and i have a feeling that if i get one thing fixed the rest of the problems will be fixed too. Is there anything that you can do at your end? If not, i completely understand that you have more on your plate than my small problems but thanx for the help nontheless.

Mike, I assume the "issue" was created by uninstalls and reinstalls WAY before i looked into Coreys problem.
The file is located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\player.cfg

Clark,
go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\214976326\288140\remote\Perfect Golf\players and see if your default index number is 1 or 0. if it is 1, backspace that 1, and then type in 0, then click on file, then save, but do not change anything else in there.

that 214976326 number will be a different one than you have, but u can find it
