Trouble loading courses - has anyone else experienced this?
I am playing JNPG on my windows 10 pc and a weird thing is happening ... I can load and play the default 'Black Swan' course, but every other course that I have tried to load (from the carousel and downloaded) has a problem. Basically as soon as I launch the round, the splash screen for the course comes up, but is immediately at 30% and freezes. For the Black Swan course, the progress meter starts at 1% and counts up to 100% as expected.

The courses all work on my mac book pro (very slow, though) and on my surface 4 (work laptop, so don't want to use it). I have also tried deleting the Black Swan course so that another course is the first one displayed ... but no luck.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Many thanks to anyone who can help point me in the right direction

(ps I have tried to email Perfect golf, and got no reply after several weeks, and I have tried to register on the PG forum, but their 'reCaptcha' is broken, so you can't set up a new account)

pps I have also switched out my graphics card to make sure it is high enough spec, and I have tried loading at lowest possible graphics settings ... also no luck, still stuck at the 30% level on the splash screen

Verify the integrity of your game files to make sure there are no issues with your installation. Do you see the courses on your hard drive (in their respective folders)?

What video card do you now have? What are your system specs?

The times I have had the 30% load is when the course file had got corrupted. More than likely do to a game crash when course file was being accessed. So you may want to try re-downloading the course if it is a user created one. Doing what Armand said will fix the default course files.

@Armand, @Wirenut48
Thanks for the responses.

My system specs are:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz, 3601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB
Adapter Type GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, NVIDIA compatible

Not sure if this meets the minimum specs, but I thought it should do ....

Thanks for the tip on the course files maybe being corrupted. The game files do show up on the harddrive in the right place (and I have been able to add other downloaded files as well that also show up on the carousel).
I will try the the verify idea, and if that doesn't work I think I am going to do a complete re-install of the game.

I will let you know the outcome!

When I verified the local game files there were 2 files corrupted. These were then reacquired, and I re-verified ... all files OK. Then tried to play the game and got the same issue (Black Swan OK, others froze at 30%). The one change was that when I added a downloaded course (Royal St Georges) it started loading like the Black Swan course, but then crashed the game completely at 40%.

I'm now going to reinstall the whole game, so we will see if that helps.

All very strange!

I have reinstalled the game from scratch, but still no luck. Next stop would be to upgrade my RAM to 16GB, but I don't want to do that if there is some other reason ... I am running 32bit Windows 10Pro, so I was wondering if I needed 64Bit, but that seems unlikely since the base programme is running fine and the Black Swan course loads fine.

I am close to giving up, which is annoying since I have spent ~£30 on the game and £249 on the simulator license from Sky Track!

I'm not a hardware expert by any stretch, but I think you should be OK from the RAM and GPU perspective. I'm not certain on the CPU, but I think it should be OK.

Is it only Black Swan that doesn't load or does it now load? (your last message confused me a bit.) Do any of the courses load? I was wondering if trying to play the game with mouse and keyboard only to start instead of with SkyTrack. I'm not sure how SkyTrack connects to the computer, but often it helps to unplug all USB devices except mouse and keyboard (steering wheels/pedal and other input devices have cause grief with the game. Hopefully that will help loading the game/course.

Once the game is working (or even if your troubles continue), you may want to post at the Online Golf Tour (OGT) site, as they deal with the SkyTrack and other launch monitors/simulators. I'm hoping someone over there (ZMax?) can provide some additional guidance.

This is where your downloaded courses will need t be to play them on JNPG.
Worth a check sir.

Silly question but do you have the courses in question extracted from the zip or rar files? Another possible problem could be your course folder is inside a course folder. (A folder in a folder). That might lead to the missing courses you know you have.

Interesting that you are having the same problem that I am having. The courses like devils Island and bethesda, which I bought are not showing up in my game files either. No response to emails. I am going to find out what is going on. This game is not so perfect I guess. I should be able to play the game I bought or get my money Back.

All available courses that can be purchased are already in the course folder, purchasing just unlocks them. But you will need to be logged into the steam account you purchased the courses and game with to play them.
