Using Armor Scrolls for +X

I noticed using armor/weapon scrolls can give a +1 or +2 bonus on a weapon or armor.

Is there a tier of scroll you need for say a chance at a +5 weapon?

Can Bolster Weapon have a chance to do it or do you NEED to use Enstremfenize Armor?

Hmm not sure.
I do know that you should use 'bolster' on 1 or 2 star gear, and save fortify/estrempfenize for 3 star.
Reason, you might get those 1d3 with bolster, but the 2d8, 3d6, and 4d5 are for estremph scrolls.

I think even bolster can give a "+1" but if you get those crappy 1d3 with them, you'd better use a wipe scroll.
