Like I did not know that was a thing if this is the case, I may just see about a refund, I like having one name for my heroes.

This complaint comes up from time to time. There is a way around it (I think) - there's posts on how to work around it on here, but it's tedious - and you need to be careful not corrupt your save file.

I personally just like doing stuff like "BOB the First", "BOB the Second" and so on. I kind of like keeping track of how many stupid deaths I've had based on name.

a few years back I was up to Hal LXXIV or somesuch before wiping the save. Never quite made it to Hal C, but I can't agree more with the amusement factor of tracking your deaths with the suffixes
