That this game is not widely discussed is a travesty .....
This game would bring happiness to so many people.

I love this game. It reminds me of Fatal Labyrinth on Sega Genesis, but 1 Trillion times better

I mention it quite often on the roguelikes subreddit. This and TGGW are probably my two favorite roguelikes.

My family and relatives would buy this game if multiplayer was included. Does anyone know of a game like this one which has multiplayer? Thanks in advance

Wayward is the only roguelike outside of crypt of the necrodancer that actually made it work as far as I know.

Yes, sorry this is what I meant. It's a ton of fun.
By sheer coincidence, I was up way too late last night playing Dungeonmanns lol.

Endgame is trash. If the difficulty progressed at a steady rate instead of doing a massive jump around level 10-12, this would be a classic. But it doesn't. I can shrug off a cheap death at level 1 because I haven't invested any time into that character and you can just get bad RNG at that level even in the best balanced game. Cheap deaths at level 11 are something else entirely, at least to me.

I'm actually here to see if that ever got changed, but it doesn't seem like it did.

I have heard a lot of people complain about this supposed difficulty spike after level 10, but I have to say I never experienced it myself, even while playing in Ironmans mode. If anything the game becomes easier once you clear the mountain fortress (which for me usually happens around level 10) and acquire tier 5 weapons. Granted, there are a few secrets you need to know about (for example, using the stellar anvil to super enchant your weapons) but if you make good use of every tool the game offers, I have found that it is very well balanced all the way through to the end.

Speaking of every tool, you guys ever use door spikes? I’ve never used a single one.

Once I did, yes, to cover my retreat to the stairs after I ran into a group of enemies that were too strong for me. Normally blinking scrolls and teleportation magic are enough to escape a situation like that, but for whatever reason neither of those were available to me at the time. The spiked doors delayed the enemy for a few turns and it was just long enough for me to get back to the stairs, otherwise I probably would have died.

Here is another thing you can do with door spikes: If a powerful enemy is advancing on you, and you intend to fight it, but you need a few extra turns to drink a healing potion or apply some combat buffs, you can spike a door and that will buy you 2-3 extra turns to drink potions before the fight begins.
