Bought it even though I have basically no plans of using it for anything other than the hunger thing.

dlc's are suppose to be optional. an extra, an extention of sorts.
With that dlc, you can add new options as a limitation to your runs before you start a new one.
it can make it difficult or just more fun. depends on how you set them.

Never beaten the game before but i like to add some of the limitations in my runs.

"limitations" Psst, heres a secret one for ya. Having a hard time? Use the pay to lose to your advantage! Go to the setting for hero xp, and set it to be 70% less xp, "oh no difficulty!" ... the lvl cap is insanely low anyways, books drop from champs and chests like its xmas. No more 50+ trivial dungeons, you will stay lower long enough to get decent gear and plenty of proofs and other goodies from the low level dungeon champs that will be within your level range... Tons of potions, scrolls, etc. Honestly you lvl way too damn fast in this game, so this will HELP.
