Can't play the game
When the game runs I only see a black screen. Tried checking files integrity, reinstalling, nothing worked. Note that I have already played this game before in my laptop, the game just doesn't work anymore.

Based on what I can see, I would recommend the following trouble shooting steps:

‣ Uninstall (Unsubscribe) from any installed "Workshop" mods, then verify integrity
‣ Verify that your laptop is set to it's native resolution and refresh rate. (Likely 1366x768|@60Hz)
‣ During the "black screen" change the window mode from "Fullscreen"<-->"Windowed" (or vise-versa) by holding `(Right) ALT`and pressing `ENTER`at the same time. (Simply, `ALT+ENTER`)
‣ "Re-Fang" the link, then download, and install the latest drivers for your MX920
("RE-FANG?": Remove brackets and fix the protocol, or Find & Replace `[.]`-->`.`,`hxxps[://]`-->`https://`, or... find your own link):

‣‣ [(Provided: 566.03 | WHQL | Tue Oct 22, 2024]
"hxxps[://]us[.]download[.]nvidia[.]com/Windows/566[.]03/566[.]03-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql[.]exe")

If these steps don't work:

‣ Uninstall the game
‣ Rename (or backup somewhere and delete) the `BoneTown` folder (located in %appdata%) to `BoneTown.bak` (If folder exists after uninstall)
‣ Delete `2602955783` located at `C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/288080/2602955783` or even delete `288080` (If folder exists after uninstall)
‣ Reinstall the game.
‣ (Re)install prerequisite redistributables:

‣‣ [Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x64 14.40.33816.0]
hxxps[://]download[.]visualstudio[.]microsoft[.]com/download/pr/368cc6bf-087b-49f9-93e6-ab05b70a58e0/814E9DA5EC5E5D6A8FA701999D1FC3BADDF7F3ADC528E202590E9B1CB73E4A11/VC_redist[.]x64[.]exe

‣‣ [Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x86 14.40.33816.0]

‣‣ [DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer 9.29.1974.1]
hxxps[://]download[.]microsoft[.]com/download/1/7/1/1718CCC4-6315-4D8E-9543-8E28A4E18C4C/dxwebsetup[.]exe

If those steps still don't work:
‣ Clean dust and debris located inside the laptop.
‣ Clean and apply new, quality, brand name, thermal paste to each CPU & GPU die.
‣ Remove your HDD and shatter the platters with a pickax, followed by melting it down to a memento.
‣ Replace with SSD,
‣ Install a popular Debian based Linux flavor.
‣ Open Terminal, copy pasta:
`sudo apt update && sudo apt install nala && sudo nala update && sudo nala full-upgrade -y && sudo nala install nvidia-driver -y && sudo reboot -f`
‣ Go to `steampowered[.]com/about/'.
‣ Download `steam_latest.deb` to your home folder.
‣ Open Terminal, copy pasta:
`sudo dpkg -i ./steam_latest.deb && sudo nala update && sudo nala upgrade -y && steam`
‣ Enable Proton Experimental in Steam settings, install the game, hit `Play`
‣ Finally:
‣‣‣`Enjoy BoneTown and all of it's glory on an OS that actually respects you; alongside happy, cool, and solid hardware.`

Hope this helps.

There is a console.log file created when the game runs. It can be found by pressing the Windows Key + R at the same time. This opens up the Run Window. Type in this window %appdata% This will open a windows folder, in it open the BoneTown folder and send the consolel.log file to support at d-dub dot com and I can take a look and see what is going wrong.

I keep getting "Sorry, we were unable to send your message" in d-dub support section for some reason. Tried sending the whole content from the console.log file, and another one including a mediafire link instead, but still shows up the error message.

Ok here's the file:

You link doesn't work for me.

Email it to support at d-dub dot com. Our website's support thing does not support attaching files.

I sent an e-mail to support @ d-dub (dot) com but I'm not sure if that e-mail is active 'cause it was 3 days ago when I sent it :(

Thank you very much!! I tried the 1st option but it initially didn't work, then for some reason worked after switching to window mode. I set the correct resolution and now's working nicely. Thank you!

Great to hear! Could have easily been a combination of doing both.
